A New Partnership for a More Sustainable Future
Citron Hygiene is proud to announce our partnership with Call2Recycle, a leading battery collection and recycling organization in North America. Through this collaboration, we are strengthening our commitment to environmental responsibility and helping businesses across Canada and the United States recycle batteries safely and responsibly.
Why Battery Recycling Matters
Batteries power many of the devices used every day in workplaces, commercial facilities, and public spaces. When batteries reach the end of their life, responsible recycling helps divert waste from landfill and recover valuable materials that can be used in future products. It also supports a more circular economy by keeping resources in use for longer. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency highlights battery recycling as an important way to reduce waste and support sustainable materials management.
Partnering with a Leader in Battery Recycling
For nearly 30 years, Call2Recycle has helped advance battery recycling across North America. According to its 2025 Impact Report, more than 9.3 million pounds of batteries were collected for recycling in 2025, demonstrating the growing demand for convenient and responsible recycling solutions.
Supporting Our Customers’ Sustainability Efforts
As part of our regular service programs, Citron Hygiene technicians replace batteries in many of the products we maintain. Through our partnership with Call2Recycle, those batteries will be collected during service visits and responsibly recycled rather than left on site. By ensuring end-of-life batteries are managed responsibly, we can help reduce waste, recover valuable materials, and minimize environmental impact.
Creating a Positive Environmental Impact Together
Sustainability is a shared responsibility. By partnering with Call2Recycle, Citron Hygiene is helping make battery recycling more accessible while supporting the recovery of valuable resources that can be reused in future products.
Together, we are working toward cleaner communities, reduced waste, and a more sustainable future across Canada and the United States.
